Cardiologist

Dr. Kevin Michael, MBchB MPhil MD
Dr. Kevin Michael is an Attending Cardiologist who has done fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Queen’s University in Kingston. He has also practiced as an Attending Cardiologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Queen’s University and the Heart Rhythm Service at Kingston Health Sciences. Dr. Michael obtained his original undergraduate qualification from the University of Natal now called the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in South Africa. He then went on to do his Master’s degree in cardiology at Southampton University, United Kingdom and also obtained a doctorate from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Currently , Dr Michael in an associate with the PACE Cardiology Clinics in Newmarket and Barrie and also travels to South Africa to perform complex interventional electrophysiology procedures and to proctor local cardiologits. He has joined the Healthy Hearts Clinic at the Heart Mind Body, Health & Wellness Centre. The aim of the Healthy Hearts Clinic is to integrate general cardiovascular wellness within the framework of an interdisciplionary team of health professionals bringing a unique and effective holistic care model to patients.

Dr. Elkin's plays many roles in life, wife, mom, chiropractor, friend, athlete, and coach. She enjoys hiking, boating, exercising, skiing, curling, continued learning, speaking, travel and spending quality time with family. Professionally and personally, her passion is to help others regain their health to live their most ideal life.

Dr. Elkins' passion for chiropractic started in grade 7, after shadowing a chiropractor for a school project. With a clear goal in mind she completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph in 1996. After this, she pursued her Doctor of Chiropractic studies at the National College of Chiropractic in Illinois where she graduated in 2000. Her career began as an associate in Gananoque and in 2001 she established a family practice in Seeley’s Bay, Ontario. Heart Mind Body is happy to have her onboard as a team member and sharing her skills with the Kingston community.

With Dr. Elkins you’ll get a warm friendly approach to care and access to a variety of techniques including: Diversified and Integrator. Following a complete initial examination, she will determine what approach to care best suits you.
Reflexologist

Mark has been a life long health and fitness advocate. For the last dozen years, he has been in a private reflexology practice helping clients use reflexology to create balance within their body systems to facilitate healing. Wellness is multi-faceted and reflexology can have an important place in not only maintaining but improving health.

In 2009, Mark established a reflexology program at the Hopespring Cancer Support Centre. Mark has donated his time with various organizations over the years including the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. As well as supporting those in need, Mark feels there is also a huge place for reflexology in elite sport. He hopes to partner with elite athletic organizations in the future.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Isabelle traveled to Kingston, Ontario to complete her undergraduate in Honours Commerce at Queen’s University.

Isabelle pursued her various interests in Community Development and worked with organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty International. Throughout these experiences, Isabelle gained a passion for the importance of both Community and Individual Wellness.

Hailey is proud to have lived most of her life in Kingston. For many years she was a manager in the hospitality industry. Later, Hailey ambitiously switched fields to become involved in healthcare and obtained a diploma in Personal Support Work from KLC College.

She has worked 10 rewarding years as a Patient Care Assistant covering all aspects of patient care. Hailey’s vast experience includes positions at Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care. Moreover, she has been trained at Skin Health Canada for medical facials and in BioFlex Laser Therapy system to treat clinical pathologies. Hailey is keen on providing all clientele considerate & expert care in the services provided at Heart, Mind, and Body Health and Wellness.
